The Harvest Home was an early 19th century inn, which is now a licensed restaurant with accommodation. It is situated on the very edge of Dartmoor surrounded by rolling Devon hills with spectacular views of the western edge of Dartmoor. We are just 2 miles from the busy Stannary town of Tavistock famous for its award winning Pannier Market. We are perfectly situated to explore Devon and Cornwall.
Our restaurant specialises in traditional home made food and we are well known for favourites such as steak and kidney pudding and steak & ale pie as well as other chicken, beef and lamb dishes. All the ingredients for our homemade dishes are locally sourced.
We have a fully stocked bar and wherever possible we try to use a Devon or Cornwall real ale. Award winning ales such as St Austellís Tribute, Dartmoor or Otter's Best are always popular.
We have a lovely large garden which overlooks Devon countryside with views towards Dartmoor. A perfect situation for sitting and enjoying a quiet drink or a meal. Parking is not an issue as we have a very large car park.
We have 2 large and comfortable en-suite rooms - one with itís own patio. Both rooms have king size beds, satellite TV, wi-fi and tea/coffee making facilities.
Devon & Cornwall (just 2 miles) are wonderful places to explore. 5 minutes away is the World Heritage site of Morwellham Quay as featured in Edwardian Farm and Antiques Roadshow. Ideally situated for both the north and south coasts and The Lost Gardens Of Heligan and Eden Project. There are also plenty of physical activities locally.
The opening hours of the bar and restaurant are 12 to 2.30pm and 6 to 10pm Tuesday to Sunday. Food is served until 9pm. We are closed on Monday.
